Established as an autonomous body in July 1991, under the Public Enterprise Act of 1989, the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is entrusted with the crucial responsibility of regulating civil aviation and the air transport industry in the Gambia. At GCAA, we work in alignment with the regulations and guidelines set forth by international organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), and the Banjul Accord Group Aviation Safety Oversight Organization (BAGASOO).
